Salthouse is a quintessential North Norfolk seaside village nestled in an ideal spot. Its sits on the salt marshes in between my all time favourite, Cley on Sea and beautiful Blakeney. It really is a perfect spot to sit whilst you press pause for a while to stare at the wildflowers and heathers dancing on marshes and breath in the salty sea air.

 

For a tiny village, it has a lot to offer for the more laid back amongst us and I love it for that. Cookies Crab Shop has been around for over 50 years and serves up rustic seafood platters and sandwiches to rival any other. All available to take away for a picnic on the pebble strewn beach. 

Then there is a firm fave amongst the team is Salthouse Store. It really does cover all the bases. A beautiful shop of carefully curated products including fresh produce  perfect for a picnic, homewares, a coffee shop and holiday lets too! And all within easy reach of some crashing waves too. Salthouse is a North Norfolk gem for sure.
