Glamping at Happy Valley

We have just got back from a wonderful rustic mini break at Happy Valley Norfolk where we celebrated our wedding anniversary. A massive thank you to the lovely Katy for fitting us in at such short notice.
The glamping retreat was breathtakingly beautiful and we were surrounded by whimsical woodland and wildlife. We stayed in the King Nutkin, a magical cosy Shepherds Hut with a real king size bed, wood-burner, kitchenette and a fabulous outdoor decking area plus separate BBQ and seating area below. The location in West Norfolk was peaceful and quiet and it was so easy to relax and switch off from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, which was just what we needed.
Little one was in her element, her excitement at sleeping in the woods was adorable and she thrived from being out in the raw, natural surroundings. She loved collecting pine cones and acorns and running through the bracken and hiding behind the trees. She loved crossing the little bridge over to an island, although her highlight was climbing up and down the steps beside the shepherds hut. In the evening we sat outside under the trees, eating barbecued hotdogs, drinking Prosecco and of course finished the night off with hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows beside the camp fire.
The facilities are wonderful with excellent showers and toilets with added personal touches of handpicked wild lavender and flowers. A fantastic washing up station with a charming woodland reflection mirror. The hut is equipped with everything you may need and more. Katy & Scott had certainly thought of everything their attention to detail made our stay just perfect. We will most certainly be back again for a longer stay and can’t wait to try out the treehouses which are to follow later in the New Year. If you are looking for somewhere to camp but with a touch of luxury this is definitely the place to go and we would highly recommend it.
