Celebrating Motherhood

Mother’s Day is just a few a weeks away and while we feel quite strongly that Motherhood and parenthood should be celebrated and appreciated every day, it’s a lovely opportunity to celebrate!
People often think that we only sell things for little ones but we know that if a bubba is happy usually that means a happy mama too! In the words of a famous Instagram meme, you can’t fill from an empty cup… We have curated some beautiful bits for mamas and grown ups to enjoy, including the beautifully scented Ethel & Co candles made here in the UK. We also have some Plum & Ashby goodies including some gorgeous body washes and lotions which look so great in the bathroom and some of their hand cream tubes that are great for popping in your handbag – the essential oils in them can really give you a little lift, we call it a 30 second spa day!
We also have some Motherhood Darwin & Grey banners – they look great hung on their own or amongst some family photos. We also have some gorgeous French baskets that will be perfect going into spring and summer which make the perfect mama Mary Poppins bag – you can get so much in them. We also have a great selection of special cards in store at Creake Abbey.
On Mother’s day itself, the café here at Creake Abbey will be cooking up a delicious lunch including Roast Rump of Lamb, Beetroot Wellington, Pina Colada panna cotta and classic Tiramisu. The person in position of ‘Mama’ gets a well deserved glass of fizz too. We recommend booking as the café can get very busy.
There will also be a floral and gift pop up in the Summer House selling spring potted flowers, bouquets and floral wreaths – just in case your nearest and dearest might need to buy any last minute gifts or if you feel like treating yourself, in the spirit of self love, care and celebration.
We also know that Mother’s day can be a tough day for some people and with that it mind, we send everyone lots of love and comfort. However you spend the day, here’s a little reminder to just be incredibly kind to yourself…
Lots of love.
